The Process

Four steps. Forty-eight hours.

From submission to written quotes in hand.

01

Submit your project

Two minutes. Five fields.

Tell us your name, email, ZIP code, the kind of lighting work you’re considering, and (optionally) a phone number. That’s it. No square-footage estimates, no fixture counts, no design specs. We use this to match you with installers in your area who handle your service type.

Detail: What you submit: name, email, ZIP, service category. What we never ask: budget, sensitive personal info, pressure-tactic timing questions.

02

We match you with 2-3 vetted installers

Local installers. Never national chains.

Within an hour of your submission, our system identifies the licensed installers in our network who serve your ZIP code and specialize in the service category you submitted. We send your project details to two or three of them. Chosen for closeness to your area, current capacity, and design-portfolio fit with your service type.

Detail: Who’s in the network: licensed, insured contractors with verified design portfolios. We turn down 7 of every 10 installer applications.

03

Installers reach out with quotes

Within 24 hours. Itemized. Free.

Each matched installer contacts you directly to schedule a site visit (for outdoor work) or phone consult (for interior). After that, they send you a written, itemized quote. fixtures, transformer, wire, labor each on their own line. Three quotes for the same project from the same network usually come in within 10-15% of each other.

Detail: What a good quote looks like: itemized, includes fixture model numbers, transformer sized with headroom, written warranty terms. We have a 12-point checklist on each cost guide page.

04

You pick. We’re paid by the installer.

Never by the homeowner. Ever.

You compare quotes, ask questions, pick the installer that fits. They do the work. We are paid a small referral fee by the installer when they win the project. Never by you, never above the quoted price, never anywhere on your invoice. The quote you receive is the quote you pay.

Detail: What homeowners pay us: $0, always. The installer absorbs the network fee as a cost of acquisition. About what they’d otherwise spend on Google Ads or Angi leads.

Why This Beats a DIY Contractor Search

Same outcome (free quotes). One-tenth the friction.

Comparison DIY contractor search Through this network
Search effort Hours of vetting on Google, Yelp, Houzz, neighborhood forums One form. Two minutes.
Quote comparability Three quotes with different scopes. Impossible to compare Three quotes for the same scope from network-vetted installers
Quality control Trust online reviews (often fake) and gut feel Network applicants vetted for licensing, insurance, design portfolio
Pricing transparency Lump-sum estimates with no breakdown Itemized line items required of every network installer
Cost to homeowner Free. But you absorb the time cost of the search Free. And we absorb the search cost too
Recourse if it fails None. You found the contractor We remove installers from the network on legitimate complaint
