Barbara Cosgrove Lamps are proudly manufactured in the USA. Here is a look behind the scenes at one of our domestic factories and our process. These pieces are ceramic, hand poured, hand glazed and fired. Manufacturing lamps domestically allows us to have better control over the quality, while receiving smaller shipments in faster time intervals.
One of Barbara's great joys is going to the factory to go through new design samples and consider glaze colors and finishes. Last season, she tapped into a matte finish on ceramic that is hand painted on top of the raw bisque for a cool matte finish. "Lamps are like little sculptures everyone has in their homes," says Barbara.
We take pleasure knowing that much of our product is made in the USA. We are supporting our own economy and providing better quality with less environmental footprint. For us, that means something, we hope you agree.
Barbara was an artist long before Barbara Cosgrove Lamps, she is a lifelong artist.
